Nothing like waking up to some good news.

MetroTimes, Detroit’s alternative weekly, announced yesterday the winners of its annual Best of Detroit 2021 readers poll and taking home two awards — Best Breakfast & Brunch in Detroit (and Wayne County) and Best Diner in Detroit — is downtown Detroit brunch restaurant, Dime Store.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Dime Store has won a MetroTimes Best of Detroit award, having previously claimed the prize of Best Breakfast in Detroit in 2020, 2019 and 2018, and Best Diner in Detroit in 2017 and 2016.

Dime Store is located inside of the Chrysler House, formerly known as the Dime Building, at 719 Griswold Street between Fort Street and Lafayette Boulevard in downtown Detroit.

Parking

We validate the first two hours of parking at the Financial District Garage; ask your server for a validation ticket on your way out. Please note: Parking validations may not be honored on holidays, special events or jury days.
