Dime Store Rochester Hills on Fox 2: Pork Belly, Grits & Good Vibes

Mitch Freem and Chef Evan of Dime Store on Fox 2 Cooking School with anchors and plated brunch dishes

Chef Evan & co-owner Mitch hit the Cooking School set to show off one of our most popular specials

We’re officially TV famous. Well… brunch famous. Which honestly feels better.

Chef Evan and Dime Store Rochester Hills co-owner Mitchell Freem headed to the Fox 2 Detroit studio for their Cooking School segment, where they cooked up our Pork Belly & Grits and repped the Rochester Hills location in style.

If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ve got the clip below. But first, here’s a peek behind the scenes.

The dish they made on air? A house favorite. It starts with creamy white cheddar grits, topped with our house-cured pork belly, tomato-arugula salad, shaved parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It’s rich, savory, a little tangy, and exactly the kind of thing you want to eat when you’re off the clock and hungry for something special.

The Rochester Hills location has only been open a few months, but this Chef’s Special is already making waves. Just ask the anchors who immediately dug in after the segment ended.

Big thanks to Fox 2 for having us on—and to Mitch and Evan for making us look good.
