We’re officially TV famous. Well… brunch famous. Which honestly feels better.
Chef Evan and Dime Store Rochester Hills co-owner Mitch Freem headed to the Fox 2 Detroit studio for their Cooking School segment, where they cooked up our Pork Belly & Grits and repped the Rochester Hills location in style.
If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ve got the clip below. But first, here’s a peek behind the scenes.
The dish they made on air? A house favorite. It starts with creamy white cheddar grits, topped with our house-cured pork belly, tomato-arugula salad, shaved parmesan, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It’s rich, savory, a little tangy, and exactly the kind of thing you want to eat when you’re off the clock and hungry for something special.
The Rochester Hills location has only been open a few months, but this chef’s special is already making waves. Just ask the anchors who immediately dug in after the segment ended.
Big thanks to Fox 2 for having us on—and to Mitch and Evan for making us look good.
